Aviation and Aeronautics

Translation for the aviation industry is a complex and specialised task, one that requires knowledge of the specific terminology and abbreviations.

I have experience of translation in the following areas:

• Translation of operating manuals and servicing manuals for aircraft and helicopters, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, including technical descriptions
• Translation of standards documentation in the aviation field, as well as reports and other aviation documentation for business
• Translation of technical articles on contemporary aviation for historical and technical aviation journals
• Translation of features on aviation history for the Russian Aviation Research Trust’s historical and technical aviation journal
• Translations of books by leading Russian aviation authors and experts in aviation, and aviation history.

This is underpinned by my membership of the only professional body covering the whole of the aviation industry globally – The Royal Aeronautical Society – at Member level (MRAeS). I became a Member in October 2017.
